Pipe freezer spray is a specialised product that is used in plumbing and HVAC work to temporarily stop the water flow in pipes during repair or modification work. Pipe freezer spray creates a temporary ice plug in water-filled pipes so plumbers can work on sections of piping without draining the entire water system. This is particularly useful when sections of pipes need repairing or replacing, new fittings or connections need to be installed or maintenance needs to be carried out on existing pipe work. It is also helpful when shutting off the main water supply is impractical, or the pipe is in a confined space. Professional plumbers need to note that pipe freezer spray should be used with extreme caution and skill. The spray typically contains a refrigerant that can drop the pipe temperature to around -50蚓 (-58蚌) almost instantly, and this requires careful use.

Leak detection sprays quickly identify potential weak points in pipework and connections. They reveal tiny holes, cracks or imperfections that might be invisible to the naked eye. When they are sprayed onto a surface with a potential leak, the solution forms bubbles or foam at the point of gas or air escape. This chemical reaction allows plumbers to locate the source of a leak without complex or time-consuming diagnostic procedures.

Protective coating sprays, such as satin rapid dry black spray paint and specific stove or coal paints improve the appearance of equipment, in addition to offering an extra layer of protection against wear and tear.
