Eres Expansion Vessels

An Eres expansion vessel is a small water tank that is incorporated into pressurised heating and hot water systems. Its purpose is to regulate the pressure and it does this by expanding and contracting according to the volume of water within its flexible chamber. Due to the way in which it is manufactured, high hygiene standards are maintained at all times, as the water within the chamber is never in contact with the steel of the outer vessel. This means it can cope with high internal pressures in a safe and reliable manner.

These expansion vessels feature the Eres diaphragm, which can handle temperatures up to 100°C. They have low levels of gas permeability and are resistant to both propylene glycol and ethylene mixtures.

Eres expansion vessels comply with the PED 97/23/EC Directive, and BS EN 13831:2007 'Closed expansion vessels with built in diaphragm for installation in water', are epoxy coated to reduce corrosion and prevent bacterial growth. They also have an easily replaceable bladder to simplify maintenance and to extend their lifetimes.
