Cannon
Cannon has been a leading brand for gas appliances in the UK for a very long time. They have been making kitchen utensils since 1826 and made their first gas cooker in 1895 and their first gas fire a few years later. The early fires heated an iron "carcase": ceramic elements like the Cannon Misermatic gas fire radiants came later. Cannon were bought by GEC in 1963, who later moved from Bilston to Stoke-on-Trent. Mismanagement of GEC in the late 1990s led to ownership of Cannon passing to Hotpoint, then Indesit, then Merloni and finally Whirlpool.
These moves have eclipsed the Cannon brand, but on the bright side, as a member of the Hotpoint-Indesit group, replacement Cannon cooker spares are well supported. However, Cannon gas fires have been rebranded as Flavel products, although that too helps guarantee the availability of spare parts, including Cannon Misermatic gas fire radiants, Cannon Gas Miser radiants and a variety of other Cannon parts. Well-known Cannon gas fires include Icebraker, Logmaster, Gasmiser, Misermatic, Strata, Coalridge, Caress, Powerflue, Rhapsody and Live Fire.
We can supply Cannon Misermatic gas fire radiants, burners and caps, glass doors and door seals, flame failure devices, fans, spark generators and oxy-pilots, brackets, knobs and dials, tap assemblies, hinges, panels, door springs, handles, thermocouples, bulbs and holders, battery boxes, electrodes, elbows, connectors and other Cannon gas fire radiants. If you need Cannon gas fire radiants or parts you do not see listed, just call us - we can usually find them.
