Crosland began exclusively as a car filter manufacturer, with a range of different parts which filtered oil, air or fuel. Here at Heating and Plumbing world, we know that people who use oil to heat their homes also need filtration within their boilers, and we are pleased to offer a range of Crosland filters to help keep your oil fired boiler as safe and efficient as possible.

Crosland filters available include the Crosland fuel filter. Fuel filters are designed to prevent dirt and moisture from seeping into the fuel system. These stop unwanted particles such as dirt, water and oil from entering the fuel nozzle and pump, which clog up the parts and stop them from working efficiently.

When the fuel nozzle become clogged, the boiler will lock out, shutting down to prevent any damage occuring to the parts. This makes it absolutely essential that not only do you install a filter such as the Crosland fuel filter, but that it is changed regularly.

Having a newly fitted Crosland fuel filter helps to ensure that your boiler can do its job as reliably as possible. A clean filter also helps to make the boiler run more efficiently, as clean oil lines ensure that the oil can run far more smoothly around the system. An efficiently running boiler will help you to save money, whilst also helping to save the environment.

Similarly, the Crosland oil filter is a cartridge filter which goes on the oil fired burner. This is enclosed within a canister, sitting typically between the incoming oil line and the oil burner, to ensure that oil is filtered before it gets into your heating system.

A Crosland air filter is used to ensure that the air which is needed to provide combustion is clean. At a basic level, a fire needs a spark, fuel and oxygen to burn. Air filters ensure that the oxygen supplied by the air does not contain dust, dirt, insects or any other foreign objects which will impede the system.
