RM Cylinders

RM Cylinders is a Yorkshire based company that has been manufacturing boiler cylinders for over a decade, as well as developing solar thermal solutions, air source heat pumps and new system designs. Initially focussed on open vented copper cylinders they swiftly modernised with the Aquastel stainless steel cylinder and have broadened their range to include unvented models like the popular RM slimline unvented cylinder.

The main advantage of unvented technology is that the cylinder is connected directly to the mains supply. The boiler, which may be either electrically or gas powered, simply heats the mains water to a pre-set temperature. The pressure required to drive the water around the system is created by the expansion which occurs during heating. This tends to give a more even flow than traditional vented cylinders, but you don't necessarily need a large cylinder to produce sufficient pressure. The RM Cylinders slimline models are perfectly capable of doing the job.

In fact, RM Cylinders slimline versions have become a very significant part of their business. They are efficient and where storage is at a premium, in new builds or compact flats, they occupy very little space.
