Teddington

With a history dating back as far as 1928, Teddington has since positioned itself as a world leader in the areas of appliance control solutions, systems and products. Their systems are utilised in a wide variety of industry sectors and applications across the world, and Teddington gas valves are especially popular. The company specialises in everything from simple valve production to highly complex system design, manufacture and engineering. Reflecting their long history, they continue to innovate and deliver products at the cutting edge of engineering. Teddington gas valves are perhaps the firm's most famous export. Only top quality components are used in the fabrication process, ensuring that the valves remain in high demand. Teddington sources its valves from UK distributors, and we are pleased to be one of the brand's foremost stockists. We sell Teddington valves and offer next day delivery where possible, so your component is often just a click away. The Teddington fire valve KBB is a non electric safety valve featuring manual reset and two temperature settings. It's manufactured to industry leading standards and is considered essential protection on oil fired-boilers. The Teddington fire valve KBB safeguards against fuel feeding into any fire other than inside the heating appliance. It's installed on the oil pipe outside the property and the accompanying sensor is positioned inside, above the burner. The valve senses temperature and snaps shut when that figure exceeds a pre-set value. It will then remain closed until manual reset, guaranteeing safety. The KBB is fast acting and can also be closed manually. It conforms with BS 5410 Part I and has OFS E101 certification. Teddington gas valves are widely used but should always be installed by a fully registered OFTEC engineer. For added convenience and peace of mind, many choose to test their valves using a Teddington fire valve tester. The product is small, lightweight and the process is simple. Tests take roughly three minutes and the kit is fully compatible with all fire valves. If you intend to fit a Teddington fire valve we highly recommend also purchasing a testing kit. The box means that installers can forgo all the usual rigmarole of jugs full of hot water when testing the efficacy of valves. The kit can also be used to speed up inspection times during services. With simple controls and fully adjustable settings for temperature, it's the perfect companion to a newly installed fire valve. As you would expect from any Teddington product, it's extensively tested and complies with EN 60730-1.
