Zilmet

Founded in Italy in 1955 and now manufacturing over 8 million products a year, with offices in the UK, France, Germany and the USA, Zilmet is Europe's largest producer and supplier of expansion vessels and plate heat exchangers. The company's global reach means that many models of the Zilmet expansion vessel are used in boiler systems all over the world.
An expansion vessel maintains stable pressure inside the combi boiler while water is both heating and cooling. A Zilmet expansion vessel consists of a replaceable butyl diaphragm positioned inside a steel shell. Its purpose is to prevent any contact between the shell and the water being heated.
Smaller versions, like the Zilmet 25 litre expansion vessel, operate at up to an 8-bar working pressure, more than adequate for all domestic situations. For heavier duty applications the company produces larger models like the Zilmet 110 Ultra Pro which are used in borehole, submersible and centrifugal pumps. A corrosion resistant finish ensures resilience and durability. The Zilmet 110 Ultra Pro is suitable for drinking water.
At Heating and Plumbing, World we stock an extensive range of all sizes of the Zilmet expansion vessel, from the most modest 1 and 2 litre models up to those with 500 litre capacity We offer the benefits of this world leading company's research, development and production resources for designers, installers and maintainers of heating systems of all sizes, both domestic and industrial.
