Air source heat pumps have become increasingly popular over the last few years for several reasons: new building regulations, government grant schemes, and increased demand for more energy efficient systems. Air source heat pumps extract their heat energy from the outside (ambient) air. The compressor then increases the temperature to create useful heat for hot water and heating systems. Because ambient air is a free, natural, and renewable energy source, an air source heat pump system is energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
The Samsung EHS Monobloc air source heat pump is a compact unit for outdoor use that includes hydronic parts, which means there is no need to install refrigerant pipes. The Samsung EHS Monobloc range is simple to install, easy to configure, and cost-effective. Joule is one of the largest distributors of Samsung-powered heat pumps, and their cylinders completely integrate with Samsung's Monobloc air source heat pump range.
Joule manufactures two exhaust air heat pump models: The Modul-AIR ALL-E, and the Modul-AIR AQUA.
The Modul-AIR ALL-E provides domestic hot water, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and heating via radiators or underfloor. This solution uses waste heat to provide heating and hot water and is an excellent option for new-build flat developments in particular.
The Modul-AIR AQUA provides central mechanical extract ventilation and domestic hot water. Again, it uses waste heat that is passed through a heat pump cycle. This model is energy-efficient and capable of providing hot water.
