Combi boilers have their limitations. Homes and commercial buildings with higher demand or no suitable external wall need a more traditional approach. At the heart of these hot water systems are the cylinders and water pumps. Choosing good quality cylinders and water pumps at the outset is a wise investment.

The performance of combi central heating and hot water systems can also be improved or extended with good quality booster pumps or condensate pumps.

Our range of circulator pumps and other water pumps are suitable for the majority of hot water systems in both domestic and commercial settings. We stock only top quality components from leading manufacturers including Grundfos pumps, Stuart Turner, Worcester Bosch, Wilo, DAB and Lowara.

Modern circulator pumps are highly energy-efficient devices. By recirculating in a closed loop, water lifting power is provided mainly by downward flowing water. The pump only has to keep things moving. Nevertheless, EU regulations from 2013 favour thermostatic and electronic control of pump pressure when possible. We can supply both electronic water pumps and older three speed units for legacy installations.

Our cylinders come from companies such as Kingspan and RMcylinders group who also supply the Stelflow range. They are available in either traditional copper or stainless steel, vented or direct, and in sizes from 90 to 500 litres.
